Congratulations on your pending wedding!

The following information is designed to help you know WHAT YOU SHOULD AND SHOULD NOT do if you plan on freeze drying your flowers.  It applies to bouquets,  boutonnieres,  corsages,  and general arrangements.

 

1. HYDRATION IS IMPORTANT.  Flowers are living things and will quickly wilt  if they do not receive adequate moisture.  After the ceremony,  assign someone to place your bouquet stems downward in a container of WARM (not hot) water.  If the flowers are drooping,  trim off  the bottom ¼ inch of stem under running, warm water, and immediately place in a container of water. 

2. REFRIGERATE your flowers as soon as possible after the reception.  If your refrigerator regularly freezes lettuce or milk,  DO NOT put them in the refrigerator.  Keep them in a cool place until you can package them for shipping or until we can pick them up (local area ONLY).  Avoid having the flowers touch other items in the refrigerator if at all possible,  as prolonged contact may flatten the blooms.

3. SHIP the flowers to us VIA OVERNIGHT (or second day air if overnight is not available from your area) carrier.  UPS and FED-EX are the quickest to our area.  When you make your reservation and pay your deposit,  we will send you a special, insulated shipping container with complete instructions.  Shipping costs are not included in our prices.

You may choose to preserve your entire bouquet,  or just select flowers for the smaller frame sizes.  You may add keepsakes and mementos (wedding invitations,  cake toppers) to your display at no additional cost,  but we do need to receive them before we process your display.  We require a $100.00 deposit to reserve your space in our freeze dryer and will go over frame selection with you at that time.  Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, and will be subtracted from your final balance.  Please contact us as soon as possible before your wedding so that we can make sure the shipping container gets to you before the big day.
